Are you a registered investment advisor? Explanation of Minimum Qualifications of a CRC® for ADV Part 2B Form.
If you are a registered investment advisor, you are no doubt aware of the new disclosure requirements for Form ADV Part 2B. InFRE is pleased to provide you with a sample explanation statement regarding your CRC® certification that may be included on Form ADV, Part 2, a document which the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requires registered investment advisors to provide to clients.
As a reminder, in October 2010, the SEC amended Form ADV, Part 2B, which now provides that an advisor “may list any professional designation held by the supervised person.” If the advisor chooses to do so, the advisor “must provide a sufficient explanation of the minimum qualifications required for each designation to allow clients to understand the value of the designation.”
