The purpose of Sharing Ideas for Retirement Education and Administration is for financial education and administration professionals in both the public and private sectors to share their insights, tools and tips for getting better results from the work they do.

All articles are written by retirement professionals with the purposes of helping other retirement professionals to:

  • Learn about what works, what doesn't and why.
  • Identify actions they can take apply the writer's ideas within their realm of influence.
  • Make more informed decisions when designing and implementing a financial education program.
  • Better understand how the main point(s) of the articles might be applied differently depending on whether a retirement plan is sponsored by a public versus a private sector employer.
  • Be inspired to think "outside the box" by challenging existing processes. In other words, to motivate retirement professionals to go beyond the norm since "if they keep on doing what they've always done, they'll keep on getting what they've always got."
  • Avoid duplication of efforts or development costs by identifying existing resources that may be a solution for a particular financial education need.
