This course discusses several ethical decision-making frameworks and takes a practical
approach to handling ethical dilemmas in the retirement setting. A key feature of this
course is the presentation of “ethical tests” to use in different situations. The course
also addresses the role of managers in creating an ethical environment in the workplace. The
InFRE Code of Ethics is presented, with several scenarios to illustrate and apply the eight
principles. The course concludes with four case studies which form the basis of the open
book examination questions.
InFRE certificants must meet a 2-hour ethics continuing education requirement every two years.
