As
you know, Certified Retirement Counselor® (CRC®)
accreditation is a critically important step forward for InFRE and all
CRC® certificants. The next step in the process to
become accredited is to create a new comprehensive exam based on our
recently updated industry practice analysis. To make sure we stay on
schedule to administer the new exam in March of 2009 we need a few more
CRC® retirement professionals who can volunteer a bit of
their time for a two-day test item review workshop near O'Hare airport
in Chicago on Dec. 4-5, 2008 (a Thursday and Friday). We really need
your expertise to help evaluate test questions drafted by your fellow
CRCs over the past two months and to begin the process of constructing
an exam.
Participants
will fly into Chicago on Thursday morning, Dec. 4th for an 11 a.m. - 6
p.m. session the first day, followed by an 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. session on
Friday. Travel, one night's room and your meal expenses will be covered
by InFRE (however, your organization's contribution to cover your
expenses, if possible, is greatly appreciated!). You might even be able
to sneak in some holiday shopping time on Chicago’s famous Magnificent
Mile, depending on your travel arrangements.
In
the spirit of the holidays, InFRE wants to give you a waiver of your
annual CRC® renewal fee of $100 for 2009. In addition,
eight (8) InFRE Continuing Education credits will be awarded for your
full participation in the workshop—all in exchange for your gift of
your time and expertise to our industry.
InFRE
is well on its way to accreditation and accomplishment of this important
goal would not be possible without the help of our volunteers. Thank you
again for your loyal support of InFRE and the Certified Retirement
Counselor® certification!
