Every
two years since 2001, the Society of Actuaries has evaluated Americans'
awareness of potential financial risks and how this awareness impacts
the management of their finances with respect to retirement. The
2007 Study by the SOA includes information from important new areas,
such as the stages of retirement and how people view and manage
long-term care and health risk. Results from prior years’ are
compared with the new to measure the progression over time. This
session concludes with how retirement counselors can help employees and
clients manage these risks to ensure retirement security.
Since
2001, InFRE has actively participated in the design of the
questions asked in this study, therefore the results are particularly
relevant to retirement professionals. We strongly encourage you to
participate in this important session!
