Who is behind InFRE?

InFRE began in 1997 because of the joint commitment, vision and efforts of the National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA), the Texas Tech Center for Financial Responsibility (CFR), the National Pension Education Association (NPEA), and John D. Davenport, to increase the retirement preparedness of the American worker.

– NAGDCA is the country’s leading organization of defined contribution retirement plan administrators and financial service providers. It represents nearly every state deferred compensation plan, as well as numerous other governmental and public sector defined contribution plans, and over 150 companies in the financial services industry. Its mission is to focus on retirement planning for public sector employees participating in 457(b), 403(b), 401(a) and 401(k) retirement plans.

– The Texas Tech University Center for Financial Responsibility, recognized as a national leader in personal financial planning graduates.

– NPEA educates public defined benefit retirement system professionals and encourages the ongoing exchange of information, ideas, goals and objectives of retirement planning and communication with members

Together, the members of NAGDCA and the NPEA manage and administer more than 150 retirement plans for over 10 million American workers.
